MyBodyMyStory

I 2023 representatives from the fashion and beauty industry teamed up with Danish NGO to campaign for better body positivity and healthy self-beliefs. The campaign #MyBodyMyStory is backed by the Danish National Association for Eating Disorders and Self-Harm, beauty brand Meraki, and fashion brand LYKKELAND ateliér, who want to challenge the pervasive focus on unrealistic body standards that are particularly present in and promoted by the beauty and fashion industry. The overall goal of the campaign is to address the unhealthy body ideals and weight-focused culture in Denmark.

Designing the logo

The #mybodymystory logo is designed to empower and encourage people to share their personal stories. With strong, clear readability, it makes it easy to spread the campaign’s message across social media. When used alongside powerful photos of body shame, the logo helps amplify the call for support, urging others to share their stories and embrace their bodies.

When paired with impactful photos that highlight the reality of body shame, the logo becomes a compelling call to action, urging others to embrace their bodies and share their unique journeys with the world. You can support the campaign and share your story about your relationship with your body on social media using the hashtag #MyBodyMyStory.

Graphics

For the campaign, we developed a design guide that included logo usage, color schemes, graphics, imagery. Additionally, we created various templates for different formats to streamline the design process and maintain a cohesive look across all platforms and mediums.

Design of invitation

More than half of young women believe they look too fat, while nearly one in three young men believe they are too skinny. Body shame affects many to such an extent that it has a negative impact on health and well-being. One in four female students and one in eight male students in the 9th grade are at risk of developing an eating disorder. According to the Danish Health Authority, 75,000 Danes live with an eating disorder.
